This workshop can fit for both teaching and non-teaching staff while we will cover the topics below:
1. What is Microsoft Copilot?
2. From "Searching" to "Promoting"
3. FIVE Business cases for using MS Copilot:4. Introduction of M365 Copilot (depends on the schedule)
5. Q&A + Questions with prize (~3 questions)

This session aims to introduce the customer service design approaches and best practices from outside the education industry to support teachers and schools in managing public relations and parent expectations (especially those from traditional school backgrounds).
 
Core parts of the session:
1. Understanding your parents through the lens of the research-supported framework (skilled, semi-skilled, detached)
2. The customer satisfaction equation (expected service vs perceived service)
3. SERVQUAL model (reliability, assurance, tangibility, empathy, responsiveness)
4. Evidencing as a core approach for improving the parental perceptions of school

This is a workshop designed to help educators create inclusive classrooms for LGBTQ+ students in Junior, Intermediate, and Senior grades. In this session, participants will explore practical strategies, resources, and activities that promote understanding, respect, and acceptance among students.

We will discuss how to effectively use educational AI resources to support all students in the classroom. We will examine the use of Flint AI for delivering and expediting assessment for and as learning. We will practice using Flint AI and Read&Write to develop stronger writing, organization, research, editing, and revision skills. We will brainstorm additional potential uses and experiment with these and other educational software across multiple curricular areas.

Decolonising the curriculum.

When we reflect on the diversity of our students, do they see themselves and their culture reflected in the Ontario curriculum and our classrooms?

We will start by initially identifying our curriculum limitations and then move to workshopping to improve provision going forward as a group and individuals.

This session will look at how inquiry and play-based learning can be beneficial through all grades, from PG through to upper primary. We will look at how creative play and collaborative exploration can foster critical thinking, learning, and problem solving skills. Through research and examples, participants will learn practical ideas of how to incorporate play-based learning and related assessments into their classroom.
