Expressive arts therapy is a multimodal approach to therapy. It incorporates writing, drama, dance, movement, painting, and music. Through creation in different art forms, participants can connect their body and mind with the outside world, express their inner feelings, and express creative ideas in a safe and creative way, thereby understanding themselves, improving self-awareness, and relieving emotional stress.
Participants can use non-verbal expressions to communicate with the outside world, expand supportive networks, and build self-confidence. Appreciating art works, allowing their own voices to be seen and heard, and promoting physical, mental, social, and spiritual health.
